Feelings

FEELINGS
ss have to match the fellings with the correct pictures.
This is a pictionary with some common and a few less common adjectives that describe what people are feeling or what they may be like
It's a picture dictionary of adjectives that English learners can use to talk about feelings, mood and emotions, e.g. overwhelmed, lovestruck, confident, jealous, bored, etc. I hope you like it! Have a nice day!


Practice emotions and feelings
the writing exercise is Specifically for Christmas but teacher can replace it with another
Combining these two because they are often used together eg
“sometimes get annoyed”
Show faces with feelings: Elicit from the students what we are going to talk about today
When you have a feeling it doesn’t usually remain with you may often feel happy and occasionally feel sad but never feel jealous. I rarely get angry though sometimes a bit annoyed

A game to practise the conditional and reported speech. A good activity to open a group up and have some fun in the class.

Objectives

1.Provoke a fun and light hearted conversation in the classroom.
2.Conditional Type II
The doctor must use the conditional type II as mush as possible with phrases such as:
I think you should … if you were a dog, you would …
3.Reported speech
The patient will practice reported speech when they report back to the class about the advice the doctor has given them.

Procedure

1.Cut out the situation cards.
2.Cut out the top half of first page and give out.
3.Split the class into groups of two.
4.Talk about the joke.
5.Go over any relevant vocabulary.
6.Explain the role play situation to them.
7.Tell each group who is the doctor and patient.
8.Give the patient one card face-down.
9.Give each group 5-10 minutes to develop the situation.
Note: Try to encourage the groups to act out the role play situation as they will enjoy it much more.
10.Each patient reports to the class saying what the doctor advised them to do.
11.Change roles in each group.
12.Vote which doctor gave the best advice.
